Executive Chef Christopher Geer
A native of Freeport, ME, Christopher earned a Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. After college, Geer traveled to Italy where he apprenticed with Riccardo Cunico at Ristorante da Riccardo al Maddarello in a small Northeastern town of Asiago in the Veneto region. Upon returning to the States, Geer worked in Portland and during this time he contributed greatly to the foundation of Portland’s farm to table scene.
As a passionate chef, Geer focuses on providing guests with local sustainable farming and fishing. This includes making things from scratch every day and sourcing the best possible local ingredients. His philosophy is the best and freshest produce is what’s grown closest to you—and it tastes better too! He also focuses on craft butchery. This “nose-to-tail” approach influences many of his nightly specials.
